Airline Offers Sale Fares for Fall, Winter, and Spring
Southwest Airlines continues to welcome Customers back to the skies with low sale fares. The airline today announced fares ranging from as low as $34 to $89 each way for travel across
Southwest's route system. Sample fares include: $34 each way between Buffalo and Baltimore/Washington; $50 each way between Chicago Midway and St. Louis; and $89 each way between Kansas City and Phoenix.
In addition, Southwest announced $39 fares for travel each way within the state of California.
"We've seen more people returning to the skies aboard Southwest jets in recent weeks," said Joyce Rogge, Southwest's senior vice president of marketing. "We hope these fares will keep those people coming back and inspire others to resume their travel plans."
The fares are on sale now until Nov. 1, 2001, for travel between Oct. 25, 2001 and April 5, 2002, and the following restrictions apply. The fares are available Monday through Thursday and also on Saturday. They require roundtrip purchase with an overnight stay (any night). Tickets must
be purchased at least seven days before departure and within one day of making reservations. Fares do not include airport-assessed passenger facility charges of up to $18 roundtrip and a federal tax of $3 per takeoff and landing. Tickets are nonrefundable but (except for tickets purchased through our Group Tickets program) may be applied toward future travel on Southwest
Airlines. Seats are limited and may not be available on some flights that operate during peak or holiday periods, such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's. Fares are subject to change until ticketed, and any change in itinerary could result in an increase in the fare. The fares are not available in Orange County or at George Bush Intercontinental Airport.
Southwest Airlines currently serves 59 airports in 58 cities in 30 states. Southwest is California's largest intrastate carrier with service from eight cities: Burbank, Los Angeles, Oakland, Ontario, Orange County, Sacramento, San Diego, and San Jose.
