Northwest Announces Fare Sale
MINNEAPOLIS, Oct. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Northwest Airlines (Nasdaq: NWAC) today announced that is has launched a leisure fare sale.
Northwest is offering an additional 10% discount for Internet purchases on domestic tickets and trans-Atlantic fares, and a 5% discount for trans-Pacific travel. To receive the Internet discount, customers need to book their travel at Northwest's Web site, nwa.com, or orbitz.com.
The fare terms and conditions vary based on whether it is a domestic, trans-Atlantic or trans-Pacific market. For a complete list of terms and conditions, see below.

Double Miles Bonus Offer Extended
Northwest also announced that its double miles bonus offer announced on Oct. 4, originally set to expire on November 15, has been extended to include travel through December 15, 2001. Advance registration is required and terms and conditions apply. Double miles do not apply on all international fares. To receive double miles, customers must register at either http://www.nwa.com/offers/doublemiles or by calling 1-888-955-7878, extension 4467.

DOMESTIC FARE TERMS AND CONDITIONS: Purchase Requirements: Fares are each way based on a roundtrip purchase in Coach Class. A 14 -day advance purchase is required. Tickets must be purchased within 24 hours of making reservations or at least 14 days prior to departure, whichever comes first, but not later than December 4, 2001. Travel Dates: Travel must be completed by March 31, 2002.
Off-Peak Days: Fares shown are valid for travel noon Monday through 11:59am Thursday and noon through 11:59pm Saturday. Florida: Fares are valid for travel to Florida Sunday through Tuesday and from Florida Wednesday through Friday. Hawaii: Fares are valid for travel to Hawaii Monday through Wednesday and from Hawaii Tuesday through Thursday. Caribbean/Mexico: Fares are valid for travel Monday through Thursday. Fares for travel on days/times other than those specified are higher. Blackout dates: Travel is not permitted on November 21 or November 25, 2001. Stopovers: Not permitted.
