AMERICAN AIRLINES EXTENDS GREAT AMERICAN GET-TOGETHER SALE

Introduces a Seven-Day Advance Purchase Fare

American Airlines has just made it easier for travelers to take advantage of its Great American Get-Together sale by introducing a seven-day advance purchase fare and extending the fare sale through the spring.

"We're making it a whole lot easier for folks to plan their travel not only for the Christmas holidays, but also for Spring Break and other times," said Mike Gunn, American's executive vice president - marketing and planning. "It's another opportunity for people to get together with their friends and family."

American has extended the sale travel period from March 31 to May 19 and pushed the last ticketing date from Dec. 4 to Dec. 28.

As part of American's fare sale, travelers will be able to go anywhere in the continental United States during the coming holiday seasons and well into 2002 for as little as $99 to $199 each way based on roundtrip purchase. The sale fares are good for travel on American Airlines(R), American Eagle(R) and American Connection(R) to most domestic and international destinations.

In addition to these already low fares, customers who book via AA.com(R) can save up to an additional 10 percent. AA.com is also offering AAdvantage bonus miles for booking travel on AA.com. First-time bookers can earn up to 4,000 miles, and repeat bookers can earn up to 1,000 miles. For more details, visit http://www.aa.com/bonus .
