National Air Extends Fare Sale and Lowers Prices

National Airlines has lowered prices and extended its fare sale, offering travelers fares as low as $34(a) each way between Los Angeles and Las Vegas, and $99(a) each way between the Miami or Washington DC and Las Vegas, Los Angeles or San Francisco.

These fares are available throughout the Las Vegas-based carrier's route system for travel through May 23, 2001. Additional sale fares are available for travel between May 24, 2001 and Sept. 30, 2001. Certain blackout dates apply. Tickets must be purchased by April 27, 2001.

Mark S. Suman, senior vice president, strategic planning, said, "This sale has been very popular as evidenced by our record booking volume last week. As a result, we are extending the sale and have lowered a few prices."

Suman noted that National Airlines has received high honors in two major airline surveys. National Airlines' customer service ranked above all U.S. major airlines in the latest Conde Nast Traveler magazine "Reade's Choice Awards" and ranked among the top five carriers of the 22 domestic airlines surveyed in the "2001 Zagat Airline Survey."

Note (a): Chicago O'Hare service begins May 3, 2001. Prices shown are each way based on the purchase of a roundtrip ticket. Tickets are available for purchase through April 27, 2001. Travel may originate ineither city. Tickets require a seven-day advance purchase and a minimum stay of one night. Seating is limited and may not be available on certain flights, dependent upon customer response. Fares do not include Passenger Facility Charges (PFCs) of up to $4.50 for each segment, and a federal excise tax of $2.75 for each segment of the itinerary (a segment is defined as one takeoff and landing) where applicable. Advertised sale fares are for travel Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays only. All sale fares do not apply to previous reservations and/or purchased tickets. Other restrictions apply.

National Airlines operates one of the industry's most modern, fuel efficient, all-Boeing fleets of 757 jet aircraft. Each aircraft is comfortably configured with 175 seats, including 22 in first class. The carrier currently serves Chicago Midway, Dallas/Ft. Worth, Los Angeles, Miami, Newark, New York JFK, Philadelphia, San Francisco and Washington DC with nonstop flights to and from its Las Vegas hub.

National Airlines will begin new service at Chicago O'Hare on May 3, 2001 with nonstop service to and from Las Vegas.
