Lower Air Fares Now Landing in Stockton, Calif.
PHOENIX, June 5 /PRNewswire/ -- America West Airlines (NYSE: AWA) asks: want to save money and take advantage of convenient service? Customers looking for value in travel alternatives to northern California, should turn to America West Express service into and out of Stockton.
America West introduced reduced fares for roundtrip, advance purchase tickets to/from Stockton. Fares are $80 lower than comparable fares offered for Sacramento, Calif., service. These new fares are good for travel between Stockton and destinations throughout the Midwest and East Coast. Significant savings are also available in many Midwest and East Coast markets as an
alternative to flying to Oakland, Calif. For example, customers can save $100 or more traveling between Stockton and Miami; Washington, D.C.; and Boston versus flying to Oakland. Stockton Metropolitan Airport is about a one-hour drive from either Sacramento or Oakland and offers free parking and a less congested environment than the larger, more crowded airports.
"This is great news for our customers in Stockton," said Bernie Han, senior vice president, marketing and planning. "We designed this fare initiative to reward our customers in the San Joaquin County and help boost the awareness of this convenient service to people outside the area as an alternative to flying into and out of the larger metropolitan airports in the
East Bay area."
America West Express, operated by Mesa Airlines, operates three daily nonstop flights to the airline's Phoenix hub utilizing the popular 50-seat Canadair Regional Jet aircraft. The flights are conveniently timed offering morning, afternoon and evening service. From the Phoenix hub, customers can connect to 60 destinations in America West's network.
