Southwest Air Offers $30 Fare to Orlando or Tampa Bay This Summer
Quick Flights and Bargain Fares Let Travelers Enjoy Their Vacations Longer
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla., June 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Southwest Airlines (NYSE: LUV) has put summer road trips in the back seat by offering a fare of only $30 each way from West Palm Beach to Orlando or Tampa Bay, which makes hopping on a plane the best way to take off for a vacation.
"Why endure a long, three- or four-hour drive when Southwest's $30 fare can have you enjoying your vacation with just a quick flight," said Joyce Rogge, Southwest's vice president of marketing. "Plus you'll avoid the countless headaches caused by construction, traffic, and the question 'Are we there yet?'"
The $30 each-way fares are on sale now through Aug. 30 for travel from June 19 through Oct. 26, and require roundtrip purchase with an overnight stay (any night). Tickets must be purchased at least seven days before departure and within one day of making reservations. The fares do not include airport- assessed passenger facility charges of up to $18 roundtrip and a federal tax of $2.75 per takeoff and landing. Tickets are nonrefundable but (except for tickets purchased through our Group Tickets program) may be applied toward future travel on Southwest Airlines. Seats are limited and may not be available on some flights that operate during peak or holiday travel times, such as Independence Day or Labor Day weekend. Fares are subject to change until ticketed, and any change in itinerary could result in an increase in
fares.
Southwest Airlines is Florida's number-one intrastate carrier, with 172 daily departures from five Florida cities. In West Palm Beach, Southwest offers six daily departures to Tampa Bay and three daily departures to Orlando.
