New York City Encourages Families To Take a "Summer Break"
NYC Tourism Chief Cristyne L. Nicholas encouraged families to take a "Summer Break" in New York City this season through NYC & Company's special travel savings program and announced a special online sweepstakes for visitors to enter to win a free vacation to the Big Apple.
Through September 6, 2004, visitors and New Yorkers alike can welcome the season with sizzling savings all over town with NYC Summer Breaks, a citywide summer savings promotion. The program offers discounts at more than 300 of New York's top destinations -- hotels, Broadway shows, restaurants, cultural attractions and sightseeing tours and more -- when they use the American Express® Card.
"New York City is a great place for anyone looking to take a "Summer Break" this season," said Cristyne L. Nicholas, President & CEO of NYC & Company the city's official tourism marketing bureau. NYC Summer Breaks makes taking a break in New York City this summer easy, while providing visitors with a wide variety of options to experience the world's greatest city.
Nicholas announced a special online sweepstakes for visitors to win a free vacation to New York City. Visitors can log onto www.nycvisit.com, NYC's official tourism information website, and enter to win a trip for four to the Big Apple including: airfare for 4 on Delta Air Lines, 2 nights/3 day stay at the Marriott Marquis in Times Square, 4 tickets to Blue Man Group, $300 gift certificate to Opentable.com, and copies of The New York Restaurant Cookbook and Miffy Loves New York City!, a children's book and family travel guide to New York City.
