Greyhound Announces Lower Fares for Fall
Travelers Can Now Travel Farther for the Same Low Price
WHAT: Greyhound Lines, Inc. now offers new Companion Fares and advance
purchase Super Friendly Fares, allowing Greyhound customers to
travel farther for the same low prices.
Effective August 21, 2001 for travel August 24, 2001 and after,
Companion Fares will no longer be restricted to trips of less than
1500 miles. Customers can now purchase Companion Fares for trips
up to 2000 miles in length.
With the new Friendly Fares effective today for travel August 21,
2001 and after, customers who purchase their tickets seven days
prior to travel can travel farther for the same low price. For
example, a $49 one-way ticket now allows Greyhound customers to
travel twice as far, up to 1000 miles. And as always, there are
no hidden fees and no seat limitations.

Greyhound recommends the following travel tips:
-- Call ahead for scheduling and price information or visit
the Web site and ask about travel options.
-- Arrive at the terminal at least an hour prior to your
departure.
-- Pack your belongings in durable luggage that's properly tagged,
inside and out.
-- Carry your valuables, medication and any other important items
in a bag with you on the bus.
-- Bring snacks, reading material, radio headsets and a small
pillow for your riding enjoyment.
-- On longer trips, ask the customer service agent about meal
stops so you can plan your food and beverage needs accordingly.
