COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo., Nov. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- This holiday season The BROADMOOR has a celebration planned that will delight kids of all ages! Whether it's the "Home for the Holidays" dinner show, "Pops On Ice" or "Beatlemania" at the New Year's Eve Gala, The BROADMOOR is the place to be with friends and family for the holidays.

HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS: "A Colorado Family Christmas"
"Home for the Holidays: A Colorado Family Christmas" is a fun, new contemporary show that uses many classic holiday songs to weave a simple story of a Colorado family who discovers Christmas is best when it is shared with family and friends.
"Home for the Holidays" will be playing at The BROADMOOR November 22 - December 24, 2001 Wednesday through Saturday nights at 7 p.m. (Tickets for the dinner and show are $49 for adults and $39 for children. Sunday Matinees are offered November 25 - December 23, 2001 at 2 p.m. Tickets for the matinee are $26 per person.)

POPS ON ICE
A live presentation by the 97-piece Colorado Springs Symphony Orchestra and members of the renowned Broadmoor Skating Club and featuring World Professional Ice Dance Champions Maya Usova and Evgeny Platov, along with "The Clown Prince" of Skating, French National Champion Laurent Tobel. There are only a few live symphony and skating shows in the United States, and Pops On Ice is the original. Perfect entertainment for the entire family. The Pops on Ice performance is December 15, 2001 at the Colorado Springs World Arena. Performances are at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

This is the incredible Broadway show that has performed all over the world. There is no lip-synching, no tapes. All the music is 100% live, including many orchestrated hits. This group has everything -- the look, the sound, the mannerisms. It's the finest cast ever assembled to portray The Beatles, playing and singing all their hits live with the original instruments and costumes from every Beatles era. The New Year's Eve Gala featuring "Beatlemania Live" will be held on December 31, 2001.

SIMPICH MARIONETTE THEATER
"THE PUPPET MAKER: A STORY OF CHRISTMAS"
The Puppet Maker: "A Story of Christmas," is a one-man theater presentation portraying a village puppet maker who is preparing a Nativity for the local Christmas pageant. It is the night before the performance and the man is lovingly applying the finishing touches to his figures of the Wise Men, Mary and Joseph. The cold, snowy night will bring many surprises to the kindly carver, and the joy of Christmas will come in a way that he would never expect. The "Puppet Maker" will be showing Friday through Sunday, November 23 - December 29, 2001 (no show December 15). Presentation lasts 75 minutes. Performances are at 7 p.m. with a Sunday Matinee at 4 p.m. (Tickets are $16 per person.)
This show is recommended for audiences of 6 years of age and older.
