XANTERRA TO OFFER "GRAND AMERICAN GETAWAY"
FALL VACATION PACKAGE WITH SAVINGS OF 28 PERCENT
Grand Canyon vacationers can save up to 28 percent on a Grand Canyon South Rim vacation this fall when Xanterra Parks & Resorts again offers its popular "Grand American Getaway" package. The package will be offered from Sept.12 through Nov. 1 at Yavapai West Lodge.
For $99 per night plus tax for single or double occupancy, guests receive a room for two at Yavapai West Lodge, a motorcoach tour, complimentary breakfast and a 10 percent discount at any gift shop at the South Rim operated by Xanterra Parks & Resorts. The cost for each additional person in the same room is only $9.
"With a later sunrise and earlier sunset, fall is a wonderful time to visit the Grand Canyon's South Rim," said Bill Johnston, general manager of Xanterra Parks & Resorts at the Grand Canyon. "Hiking is particularly enjoyable because the trails have less traffic and the temperatures in the canyon tend to be more moderate."

Shortly after the Grand American Getaway program ends, Xanterra's winter rates and packages begin. Available from November 30 through December 18, and again January 4 through March 11, Xanterra will offer discounted winter rates at Yavapai and Maswik lodges as well as The Romance Package at the historic El Tovar Hotel.
