Families Can "Stay Together, Play Together" at California's St. Regis Monarch Beach Resort
The St. Regis Monarch Beach Resort & Spa is giving families the chance to reconnect and spend some quality time together with their new Stay Together, Play Together package.
The family-friendly package makes traveling easy and fun for both parents and children alike. Kids will love being treated like "V.I.P.s" right from the start. At check-in they will receive a welcome amenity, one full-day membership to the Sandcastle Kids Club (for children ages 5-12), and a token for ice cream. As an added treat, kids can look forward to a special turndown service of cookies and milk each night.
The Stay Together, Play Together package starts at $465 (July through August) and $425 (September through December 30, 2004) per room per night. Pricing is based upon one child. Each additional child is $80 per day. A two-night minimum is required.
Overlooking the blue Pacific waters of Southern California The St. Regis Monarch Beach Resort & Spa beckons families to indulge in luxury accommodations and personalized service at its Tuscan-inspired retreat. The AAA five-diamond resort, located midway between Los Angeles and San Diego counties, offers guests a private beach club with "Surf Butlers," six ocean-view restaurants, Spa Gaucin, Monarch Beach Golf Links, hard and clay tennis courts and nearby recreational activities.
After settling into the resort, the toughest decision families will have to make is what activities to participate in first. Warm summer days can be filled with dips in one of three swimming pools, including the Lagoon Pool for kids or seaside at the private beach club where Surf Butlers are ready to provide personalized surfing lessons for a minimal fee. Beach attendants await, ready to set up chairs, towels and umbrellas and take food and drink orders on the beach. Families can play beach volleyball and kayak by day and roast marshmallows and make s'mores around a fire ring on the sand by night.
Children participating in Sandcastle Kids Club activities will enjoy beach relays, sandcastle contests, pool activities, nature walks, and hula hooping contests to name a few. Additional enrichment activity options such as wave-riding lessons, Mother-Daughter Tea, Father-Son Tee (golf), etiquette classes, hula dancing lessons and more are available for a fee.
While the kids are having fun with the Sandcastle Kids Club, mom and dad can relax at the resort's Spa Gaucin, play a round of golf at Monarch Beach Golf Links or perfect their tennis game at the Monarch Bay Tennis Club, which offers both hard and clay courts.
Nearby activities fun for the entire family include hands-on marine learning at Dana Point's Ocean Institute and dolphin safaris and whale-watching excursions with Captain Dave right out of Dana Point Harbor. Minutes away lies the historic Mission San Juan Capistrano, which houses the oldest building still in use in California - the Serra Chapel. Ideally situated between San Diego and Los Angeles in Orange County, the resort is just a drive away from popular attractions such as DisneylandŽ Park, Knott's Berry Farm Theme Park, and LEGOLANDŽ California.
Special children's menus are available at Motif and Club 19 restaurants as well as the Pool Bar & Grill.
