TripHub.com's New Web Site an Online Oasis for Student Travelers
www.TripHub.com, the most comprehensive travel resource for college students on the Web, launched a major site redesign, providing students greater options and tools to plan and book vacations and group tours. With enhanced navigation and functionality, the revised site features e-commerce capabilities, research tools expanded European coverage and over one hundred adventure travel packages designed specifically for students.

The student travel market is ripe, as more than 90 percent of students are "wired." In 1999, the student market spent $875 million online, and by 2002, the student market is expected to spend $3.9 billion online. Overall, students spend an estimated $7 billion on travel each year.

The redesigned site was developed by Market Matrix, Inc., a Seattle-based Internet commerce application service provider. Triphub.com leverages ComUnion(TM), Market Matrix's commerce server that is built on top of Allaire's ColdFusion Web application server. Triphub.com also leverages Allaire Spectra, for a powerful hybrid of content publishing and secure commerce.

Enhanced research functions: TripHub.com enables students to see the world through their computer screen with media footage of major destinations, including both student-produced and professionally-produced video. Students will also have immediate access to destination information, key insights and reviews by other student travelers.

New e-commerce applications: Striving to be the "one-stop-shop" for student travel, TripHub.com offers wholesale ticketing, providing students with the greatest value for their travel needs. The site also allows students to purchase the latest in travel accessories and gear, plus travel guidebooks and hostel cards.

Expanded European inventory: As a direct result of student response, TripHub.com has expanded its European packages to feature acclaimed study abroad programs, backpacking tours and historic excursions. TripHub.com also enables students to purchase Eurail passes directly on the site to save time and hassles.

Improved travel options: Part of TripHub.com's mission is to expose students to travel opportunities and activities they might not have otherwise experienced. Students can research adventure travel packages ranging from camping trips in the Amazon, treks through the Copper Canyon, backpacking excursions through New Zealand to yoga/meditation tours through the Southwest. TripHub.com has also expanded its offering of ski trips and graduation tours to allow students to plan the most memorable experiences with their closest friends.
