ROYAL OAK, Mich., Feb. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Have you ever dreamed about viewing the Great Migration of thousands of wildebeest and zebra traveling across the Serengeti? Well, here's your chance! On Tuesday, March 5, 2002 at 6 p.m. the Detroit Zoo is hosting a travel night at the Zoo's Wildlife Interpretative Gallery Theatre to discuss an upcoming trip to Kenya.

The evening offers an informative slide presentation about the Zoo's annual safari to Kenya and the opportunity to speak with tour leader and the Detroit Zoological Institute's Deputy Director, Darrl McFadden, along with tour operator, Park East Tours.

The adventure begins on July 31st, 2002 and concludes on August 12th, 2002. The trip offers top notch, all-inclusive superior accommodations and costs $5,495 per person including air from Detroit. For those travelers who wish to prolong their journey, there is an optional pre-extension to Tanzania and Amboseli, as well as a post-extension to Amsterdam for an additional cost.

With the trip's emphasis on both wildlife and culture, travelers are sure to gain a wide array of knowledge. Tour leader, Darrl McFadden, says, "The Zoo's Kenyan Safari is a once in a lifetime experience for people to witness the beauty of animals and nature. We hope these travel experiences foster an understanding of the importance of the Zoo's conservation efforts in ensuring the survival of these amazing creatures."
