Warren River Expeditions Offers River Rafting Trips for Grandparents and Grandchildren This Summer

Grandparents looking for an unusual and exciting vacation for their grandchildren need look no further. Warren River Expeditions is offering two grandparent/grandchild trips July 30 and August 7 this summer. Even better, to ensure everyone is comfortable and not cranky, these are lodge trips. Guests stay at a different, cozy backcountry lodge each night.

Dave Warren, owner of Warren River Expeditions, fell in love with the rivers of Idaho in 1972. He decided to make it his life's work to share that love with as many people as possible. He and his wife, Thyra, areraising their two children in Salmon and they know that the beauty of the outdoors can bridge generations and bring them closer together.

Days are spent experiencing the thrill of whitewater in the Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness Area. The snow pack is great in Idaho this year, making the whitewater even more exhilarating. Staying in a lodge each night, families can look forward to a hot shower, a good meal, and a cozy bed to sleep in after all the excitement of the day.

A whitewater rafting trip is so much more than running the rapids and floating on a raft. It includes visiting the old homesteads, mining claims, and Indian pictographs; it involves making new friends, experiencing wonderful Dutch oven meals, sleeping out under the bright stars, swimming in the clear water, playing on the big sandy beaches, and renewing old friendships and family bonds.
