Your family will love this cool pool! The theme revolves around the imaginary thought that the water originates atop the sacred Mount Haleakala. Huge waterfalls by the resort's entrance catch the Haleakala water, and from there it flows to the lobby area, the Hawaiian garden, the Japanese garden and further to the Chapel Garden, the formal and activity pools.
Wailea Canyon, the resort's 2,000 foot long riverpool has a perimeter of 3/5 of a mile. There are 5 pools that have rivers, white water rapids, grottos and a waterslide that drops over three stories. You can take the world's only water elevator instead of walking back. Learn to dive in their scuba pool.
Guests ages 4-12 can enjoy Camp Grande. It covers an area over 20,000 square feet. This "Children's Resort" is equipped with a children's restaurant (serving mostly ice cream and hot-dogs!), a whale-shaped wading pool with fountain, a movie theater, game room, craft room with pottery wheel and kiln and a computer room. Private baby-sitting is also available.
The resort has guest room wings and the Napua Tower. Beautiful gardens surround each wing. All rooms are approximately 640 square feet with either a king or two double beds. In-room amenities include a private lanai (patio), separate bath and shower area, air-conditioning, ceiling fans, 27" color TV with cable, in-room movies, three direct-dial telephones, in-room mini-bar, complimentary safe, coffee-maker, bathrobes, and slippers.
