Resort Overview: This resort is nestled in the pines along the Deschutes River. It is set on 3,300 acres of central Oregon's most beautiful wilderness and developed areas. They claim to have 260 days of sunshine per year and that will make every member of your family happy. There is something for everyone to do.
Accommodations: Sunriver has more than 500 accommodations from deluxe rooms to private homes. The Lodge Village was just remodeled. Rooms feature stone gas fireplaces. Suites can sleep up to six people, perfect for any family. The River Lodges just opened in June. It features 33 deluxe rooms overlooking the golf course and Cascade Mountains. Each unit is uniquely furnished in Northwest décor, including in-room mini-bars, oversized bathrooms, soaking tubs, down comforters, gas fireplaces, two phone lines, computer access, turn-down services and morning newspaper delivery. There are 270 private homes and condominiums located throughout Sunriver. Each unit is individually furnished all have completely equipped kitchens including tableware, living and dining areas, minimum two baths, fireplace, private deck or patio, telephone, cable TV and gas BBQ. Some include optional Internet access. Rates range from $60 per night to well over $275 depending on the accommodations.
Restaurants: There are a number of fine dining options at Sunriver Resort. Sunriver Merchant Trader - Café is located in the Merchant Trader on the lower level of the Lodge. Relax with coffee and a morning pastry or a noontime sandwich or salad as you browse through their unique merchandise. Meadows at the Lodge was awarded a Mobil 4-Stars. The menus feature ingredients indigenous to the Northwest, and an imaginative children's menu is available for all meals. They are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Grille at Crosswater features Northwest cuisine at its finest at this elegant dining room in the Crosswater Clubhouse. More than a dozen other restaurants are located in Sunriver's Village Mall.
Children's Programs: Kids Klub is for guests ages 3-6 and 7-10. The Kids Klub offers children a chance to develop new skills, interests and friendships in Sunriver's unique environment. Children can enjoy playing wacky games, making crazy crafts and going on outdoor adventures (weather permitting). This year, Kids Klub has a new friendly mascot, "Spike," the porcupine. Spike will visit Kids Klub daily. Don't miss this opportunity to meet the friendliest porcupine there is! Hours vary by season. Guided Adventures are designed for pre-teens and teens, ages 11-15, these programs intended to fit the independent nature of this age group; bring your own lunch. Hours vary by season. All childrens' and youth programs meet at the Kids Klub Yurt located next to the Sunriver Bike Shop. Pre-registration required for all youth programs. Teen Time Offers teenagers a place to meet other teens while participating in fun activities, including dances, frisbee golf, scavenger hunts, indoor rock climbing, whitewater rafting, etc.
Golf: Sunriver Resort is proud to offer 54 Flags of outstanding championship golf. The Sunriver Woodlands, designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. The Meadows is designed by John Fought. It winds alongside of the beautiful Sun River, and features bent grass tees and greens and numerous directional and fore-bunkers. Crosswater was designed by award-winning architects Bob Cupp and John Fought. It is situated on 600 magnificently scenic acres of woodlands and carefully preserved wetlands.
Tennis: Sunriver has 28 Plexipaved tennis courts. Tennis camps for adults and kids and weekly clinics are offered.
Swimming: Sunriver has two swimming centers with heated Olympic size pools, a diving pool and wading pool. The Lodge Village also has a pool for guests.
Other Activities and Amenities: Other activities at Sunriver include over 30 miles of bike paths, whitewater rafting, canoeing, rope course, alpine and cross-country skiing,ice skating, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, sleigh rides, and shopping.
